History of family business

The Wert family has been involved in the septic and sewer business in Central Pennsylvania for over 40 years. We started as a family-run business with Duane Wert, Sr. lending his father and brothers a hand as early as age 11.

After a brief stint as an excavator, Duane decided to bring his family back to their bread and butter. In 1989, Duane along with his three sons, Duane Jr., Danny, and Dustin opened their doors as D.E.W. & Sons Septic Service based in Newville, PA.

It wasn’t long before their fleet of pumper trucks grew to accommodate a daily volume of over 10,000 gallons.

In 2008, D.E.W & Sons created a plan to expand its business offerings to include a wider range of services and in doing so changed its name to Oaktree Environmental Services, Inc. We want to assure our loyal customers that we are still providing the family-style service with a handshake that we have always provided with significant investment in technology that will position us as the leading provider of septic, sewer and well maintenance services for years to come.
